MORE and more people are getting Botox to smooth out the wrinkles on their face.
And now there is a new beauty treatment.... Blowtox - and it's for your scalp.
It involves having Boxtox injected into your scalp to ensure your hair doesn't run wild post-blowdry.
If you've dropped hundreds on a posh hairstyle it kind of makes sense.
The jab blocks sweat glands, which prevents the sweat from curling hair.
Dermatologist Dr Michelle Henry told Us Weekly about her service offering Blowtox.
She said: “I had a number of patients that were resistant to working out because they didn’t want to ruin their hairstyle or blowout. It makes a huge difference for the working woman who wants to be fit but still look great.
"For patients with curly or kinky hair, their hair will remain straight longer.”
However, currently Botox - which costs between £150 and £350 per session depending on the amount of product used - is only approved for use on certain areas.
And there are risks associated with using it.
The NHS warned you could suffer flu-like symptoms – including a headache – for the first 24 hours after treatment, bruising at the injection site, temporary weakness and droopiness of your facial features.
It added: "In rare cases, serious problems can develop in the hours, days or weeks after treatment, including blurred or double vision (if the area around the eyes is injected) and breathing difficulties (if the neck area is injected)."
